Protect the phone with a PIN
Learn to protect the phone with a PIN, in 6 short steps.
Step by step
- Open "Settings".
- Tap "Security & privacy".
- Tap "Screen lock".
- Tap "PIN". Type a 4-digit code you will remember (not 1234!) and tap "Next". Type the same code again and tap "Confirm".
- Lock the phone.
- Unlock with your PIN.
These steps are written for SafePhone, a pretend Android-style smartphone in your web browser. On your own smartphone, the buttons and menus may look a little different, but the idea is the same.
