Choose which apps can use the camera: a short lesson in 6 steps.
Step by step
- Open "Settings" (the gear).
- Tap "Security & privacy".
- Tap "Permission manager": it shows what each app is allowed to use.
- Tap "Camera".
- Tap "Video Chat".
- Tap "Don't allow": Video Chat can no longer turn on your camera. You can allow it again here any time.
These steps are written for SafePhone, a pretend Android-style smartphone in your web browser. On your own smartphone, the buttons and menus may look a little different, but the idea is the same.
