Step by step
- The screen reader is on. Tap once on "Settings", then twice quickly.
- Find "Accessibility" (tap it once, or swipe right until you hear it), then tap twice quickly.
- Tap "Screen reader" once, then twice quickly.
- Tap the "Use Screen reader" switch once, then twice quickly: it turns off.
These steps are written for SafePhone, a pretend Android-style smartphone in your web browser. On your own smartphone, the buttons and menus may look a little different, but the idea is the same.
