Turn on the screen reader
Learn to turn on the screen reader, in 5 short steps.
Step by step
- Open "Settings".
- Tap "Accessibility".
- Tap "Screen reader".
- Turn on "Use Screen reader", then tap "Turn on" in the window.
- It is on: now ONE tap only reads, and TWO quick taps use what is in the green box. To turn it off: tap the "Use Screen reader" switch once, then twice quickly.
These steps are written for SafePhone, a pretend Android-style smartphone in your web browser. On your own smartphone, the buttons and menus may look a little different, but the idea is the same.
