Zoom in more or less

Choose how big the Magnifier makes things: from 150% to 400%.

4 steps · about 2 minutes · practice it with SafePC Pro

Step by step

  1. Turn on the Magnifier: Ctrl + Alt + plus. Hold down Ctrl and Alt, and press the plus key (+, next to Backspace): everything gets bigger. (On a real PC: the Windows logo key + plus.)
  2. Zoom in more: plus, twice. Keep Ctrl and Alt down and press plus two more times: each time the screen gets bigger.
  3. A little less: minus. Ctrl + Alt + minus once: one step smaller.
  4. Turn the Magnifier off: Ctrl + Alt + minus. Hold down Ctrl and Alt, and press the minus key (-) until the screen is back to its normal size.

These steps are written for SafePC, a pretend Windows-style computer in your web browser. On your own computer, the buttons and menus may look a little different, but the idea is the same.

Practice it where nothing can break

SafePC works like a real computer, but nothing you do goes anywhere. Try every button, make mistakes and start again.
