Make the text bigger

Make the text inside every window bigger, then choose the size you like.

5 steps · about 2 minutes · practice it with SafePC Pro

Step by step

  1. Click the Start button! Look at the bottom of this practice computer: the dark strip there is its taskbar. In the middle of it, click the Start button (four blue squares). The main menu opens just above it. If you see two taskbars, use the one inside this page.
  2. Click "Settings". In the menu that opened, click the "Settings" tile (a square with a small picture and its name under it): the app opens in its own window.
  3. Open "Accessibility". In the left column of Settings, click "Accessibility".
  4. Choose a bigger "Text size". On the "Text size" line, open the list and choose 150%: the text in the window gets bigger at once.
  5. Choose the size you like. Try other sizes in the same list and keep the one that is the most comfortable for you (100% is the normal size). Then close Settings.

These steps are written for SafePC, a pretend Windows-style computer in your web browser. On your own computer, the buttons and menus may look a little different, but the idea is the same.

Practice it where nothing can break

SafePC works like a real computer, but nothing you do goes anywhere. Try every button, make mistakes and start again.
