Turn on the Magnifier

Make the whole screen bigger for a moment, with two keyboard shortcuts.

3 steps · about 2 minutes · practice it with SafePC Pro

Step by step

  1. Turn on the Magnifier: Ctrl + Alt + plus. Hold down Ctrl and Alt, and press the plus key (+, next to Backspace): everything gets bigger. (On a real PC: the Windows logo key + plus.)
  2. Move the mouse. Move the mouse slowly: the zoomed screen follows it. Move to the bottom to see the taskbar.
  3. Turn the Magnifier off: Ctrl + Alt + minus. Hold down Ctrl and Alt, and press the minus key (-) until the screen is back to its normal size.

These steps are written for SafePC, a pretend Windows-style computer in your web browser. On your own computer, the buttons and menus may look a little different, but the idea is the same.

Practice it where nothing can break

SafePC works like a real computer, but nothing you do goes anywhere. Try every button, make mistakes and start again.
