Read small things with the Magnifier

Zoom in and move to the corner of the screen to read the time.

4 steps · about 3 minutes · practice it with SafePC Pro

Step by step

  1. Turn on the Magnifier: Ctrl + Alt + plus. Hold down Ctrl and Alt, and press the plus key (+, next to Backspace): everything gets bigger. (On a real PC: the Windows logo key + plus.)
  2. Go and read the time. Move the mouse to the bottom right corner of the screen: the clock and the date appear, big and easy to read.
  3. Come back to the middle. Move the mouse back to the middle of the screen.
  4. Turn the Magnifier off: Ctrl + Alt + minus. Hold down Ctrl and Alt, and press the minus key (-) until the screen is back to its normal size.

These steps are written for SafePC, a pretend Windows-style computer in your web browser. On your own computer, the buttons and menus may look a little different, but the idea is the same.

Practice it where nothing can break

SafePC works like a real computer, but nothing you do goes anywhere. Try every button, make mistakes and start again.
