Send a photo to two people

Put two addresses in the "To" box so Emily and Mike both get the photo.

12 steps · about 5 minutes · practice it with SafePC Pro

Step by step

  1. Click the Start button! Look at the bottom of this practice computer: the dark strip there is its taskbar. In the middle of it, click the Start button (four blue squares). The main menu opens just above it. If you see two taskbars, use the one inside this page.
  2. Click "Browser". In the menu that opened, click the "Browser" tile (a square with a small picture and its name under it): the app opens in its own window.
  3. Open "Practice Mail". On the favorites bar, click "Practice Mail": it is your email inbox.
  4. Click "Compose". At the top left of your mailbox, click the "✏️ Compose" button: a window opens to write a new email.
  5. Enter the recipient. In the "To" box, type Emily's address: [email protected]
  6. Add Mike's address. Click at the end of the "To" box and type a comma, a space, then Mike's address: [email protected]
  7. Write a subject. Click in the "Subject" box and type "Family photo"
  8. Write your message. Click in the big white area and write a few words.
  9. Click the paperclip 📎. At the bottom of the message window, click the paperclip button 📎 ("Attach files"): a window opens so you can choose a file on your computer.
  10. Choose "Family picnic.png". In the window, click "Pictures" on the left, click the file "Family picnic.png", then click "Open".
  11. Click "Send". Click the blue "Send" button: Emily and Mike each receive the email with the photo.
  12. Close this window. You are done with this window, so close it: click the ✕ button at the top right corner of the "Browser" window (on its title bar, the strip at the top). The window disappears.

These steps are written for SafePC, a pretend Windows-style computer in your web browser. On your own computer, the buttons and menus may look a little different, but the idea is the same.

Practice it where nothing can break

SafePC works like a real computer, but nothing you do goes anywhere. Try every button, make mistakes and start again.
