Open with a double-click
Open an app from its desktop icon by clicking twice quickly.
Step by step
- Double-click "Calculator". On the desktop (the background of the screen), in the column of icons on the left, find the "Calculator" icon (a small calculator with its name under it). DOUBLE-CLICK it: press the left button twice, quickly, without moving the mouse in between. The Calculator opens in a window.
- Close this window. You are done with this window, so close it: click the ✕ button at the top right corner of the "Calculator" window (on its title bar, the strip at the top). The window disappears.
These steps are written for SafePC, a pretend Windows-style computer in your web browser. On your own computer, the buttons and menus may look a little different, but the idea is the same.
