SafePC · The mouse and the desktop
Make the desktop icons bigger
Show large icons to see them better, then go back to the normal size.
Step by step
- Right-click the desktop background. Put the mouse on an EMPTY area of the desktop (on the background picture, away from every icon and window) and press the RIGHT mouse button, then let go. A small menu opens right where you clicked.
- Hover over "View". In the small menu, put the mouse on the "View" line without clicking, and wait a moment: a second menu opens beside it.
- Click "Large icons". In the second menu, the one that opened beside "View", click "Large icons": the icons on the desktop get bigger right away.
- Right-click the desktop again.
- Click "Medium icons". In the second menu, the one that opened beside "View", click "Medium icons": the icons on the desktop go back to their normal size.
These steps are written for SafePC, a pretend Windows-style computer in your web browser. On your own computer, the buttons and menus may look a little different, but the idea is the same.
Practice it where nothing can break
SafePC works like a real computer, but nothing you do goes anywhere. Try every button, make mistakes and start again.
