Check a QR code before you open it: a short lesson in 2 steps.
Step by step
- You want to pay for parking. Open the "Camera" and point it at the sign.
- Read the address the camera found: "pay-parking-now.example". The sign says the official one is springfield-parking.example: they are different, so this sticker is a trick! Tap the X to ignore it.
These steps are written for SafePhone, a pretend Android-style smartphone in your web browser. On your own smartphone, the buttons and menus may look a little different, but the idea is the same.
