Mute your microphone: a short lesson in 4 steps.
Step by step
- Video Chat is calling James. Wait for him to answer.
- Tap "Mute": James can no longer hear you (he can still see you).
- Tap it again ("Unmute") so that James can hear you again.
- End the call with the red button.
These steps are written for SafePhone, a pretend Android-style smartphone in your web browser. On your own smartphone, the buttons and menus may look a little different, but the idea is the same.
