A daily reminder to take a medicine

Put a reminder in the calendar that comes back every day at the same time.

9 steps · about 5 minutes · practice it with SafePC Pro

Step by step

  1. Click the Start button! Look at the bottom of this practice computer: the dark strip there is its taskbar. In the middle of it, click the Start button (four blue squares). The main menu opens just above it. If you see two taskbars, use the one inside this page.
  2. Click "Browser". In the menu that opened, click the "Browser" tile (a square with a small picture and its name under it): the app opens in its own window.
  3. Go to calendar.practice.example. Type "calendar.practice.example" in the address bar then Enter: you land on Practice Calendar.
  4. Click "+ Create". At the top left, click "+ Create".
  5. Give it a title. Type "Take Lisinopril" as the title.
  6. Choose "Every day". Open the 🔁 list ("Does not repeat") and choose "Every day".
  7. Choose "At the time of the event". Open the 🔔 list and choose "At the time of the event": a notification will pop up at that time every day.
  8. Click "Save". Click "Save" at the bottom: the reminder is now in the calendar, every day.
  9. Close this window. You are done with this window, so close it: click the ✕ button at the top right corner of the "Browser" window (on its title bar, the strip at the top). The window disappears.

These steps are written for SafePC, a pretend Windows-style computer in your web browser. On your own computer, the buttons and menus may look a little different, but the idea is the same.

Practice it where nothing can break

SafePC works like a real computer, but nothing you do goes anywhere. Try every button, make mistakes and start again.
